PIO Help!

I have not had any negative reaction to pio for the first three weeks.  A few days ago, I started get itchy welts where I do the injections.  It seems to have starrted when I started a new vial.  Do you heat up your pio in your hands before the injection?  Uggg, this sucks!

Re: PIO Help!

  • I put the vial in a little bit of hot water to warm it up.

  • i always stuck my PIO in my bra for the 10 minutes while i iced the injection site. that warmed it up nicely.

also, i was fine with the PIO at first but starting with week #3 on it i started to have the same problem as you - red, itchy blotches all over my back. no other symptoms. my RE is switching me to PIO in olive oil for this cycle, so it may be worth asking your doctor.

    good luck!

  • i was always ok till about week 3 and i had huge bumps on my tush. my nurse told me to put a heated pad on that area for 10 mins and it should help. i tried it and loved it. maybe try that out and see if it helps?
