Peeing after sex? (possible TMI)

Okay so two good friends of ours said that waiting to go to the bathroom for 20 min after sex increases your chance of pregnancy? They are either currently pregnant or have had succesful pregnancies and did this.  What!??? I thought peeing was to prevent UTIs.....now my husband has become the bathroom nazi after our "playtime" ha! Not that I really mind, I'll do what it takes but just seems funny to me since the baby hole and pee hole are completely separate. 

 Thoughts?

I have heard this too, so I do not pee after sex.  I actually wait 30 minutes to be safe.  I believe the reason behind this is that the muscle you use when going to the bathroom and gravity push the sperm the wrong way.  So I lay flat and no peeing after sex.

I think the "not peeing after sex" is meant to coincide with waiting to get up/pillow under the lower back, ect.  I think your supposed to wait as a means of defying gravity.  If you use the bathroom, gravity naturally takes over and the little baby making soldiers can't swim up stream! lol.  I don't think it really has anything to do with peeing at all.  You most definitely should still pee after sex!  I have known friends who have done the "waiting" and it has worked.  But it's not full proof.  As we all know, there are tons of factors.  I'm in full support of any and every little trick that might work!  HTH!

I actually wait to pee after FWP. We usually have sex before going to bed, so I usually fall asleep, and wake up in the middle of the night to pee

Only the stupid ones fall out.

But seriously, laying there does very little to help you out.  Semen is designed to get the boys where they are going regardless.  And sperm are pretty dang smart.  They know where to go and how to get there, even without GPS.

I always make sure to urinate after sex. I've had a UTI before and it was awful!

This has been a long standing question of mine. If I don't pee after, I get bladder infections. So I only usually wait about 5 minutes.

I pee, just because UTI's are awful.  Only the stupid ones fall out, so I'm not too worried.

I run straight to the bathroom and I have taken a bath on occasion afterward (after some cleaning0tmi I know). It does little to nothing.

I pee right away. Like jump up and pee. I don't want a UTI. Sitting there for 30 minutes is gross in my opinion. I've been pregnant twice so I don't think waiting has anything to do with it.

Well, when I go to the bathroom after sex, a lot of DH's deposit comes out at the same time.  During FWP time, I always laid in bed for 20 min with a pillow under my butt.  Just to make sure the sperm get the best chance to make it all the way up to the ute before I stood up and gravity started working.

I find the same thing, and considering I did this for a year with no BC and didn't get pg, then the first month we "tried", and I didn't, I got pg (back in '09) I play it safe and wait a while.

I always wait to pee until at least 30 min after. When you think about it the muscles you use to pee can push out anything that is in the vagina. Plus I don't get people who say gravity has nothing to do with the sperm getting to their destination. Gravity is a powerful thing, how can you stand up right after and *gross* not have it run down your leg?? I always prop for 30 min after sex and try not to go pee even then unless I really have to. I have a hx of UTI's but I haven't gotten one since starting to try.
