Why I love part-time bed sharing

For the last few weeks DD is back to waking and coming into our bed earlier than usual. She goes back to sleep for a few hours and then wakes to nurse. The last few days when it has been time to nurse she has woken me up by saying ?mama mama milk? and kissing me over and over and over again. It is so sweet! If this wake up ritual continues I?ll be hard pressed to wean anytime soon (although I really would love to eat dairy again and have been thinking about it quite a bit lately). Part-time bed sharing gives all of us the best of both worlds, uninterrupted sleep for most of the night and great snuggles for the remainder of the time.

This is how we do things in our house too because I don't trust DH in bed with her, but once he goes to work she comes into bed and I love waking up to her patting my shoulder and babbling in my ear
