I'm going to look like I have rabies soon

EVERYTHING is giving me heartburn these last two days.

Water.

A banana.

MARSHMALLOWS!

The only thing that helps is a foaming Gaviscon followed by some zantac. If I eat any more foaming pills, I'm going to be foaming at the mouth.

I think I'm going to see if my Dr will prescribe something on Friday when I go in, because OTC meds are getting pricey.

  • I feel you! EVERYTHING gives it to me too.  Dairy has been the worst by far. Ice cream, milk, sour cream. So annoying.

  • Aside from melted cheese, dairy seems to be a rare exception for me, thank god.

I'm just finding I'm constantly surprised by the new things that cause it. I NEVER would have pegged marshmallows as a heartburn trigger!

  • I have really bad reflux disease & have been on medication for several years. Was taking Prilosec, but the dr said I couldn't take that now. Protonix is what he prescribed to me now. Although it doesn't get rid of all of the acid, it's about a 95% improvement. I still keep the Tums around though & use them a couple times a week!

  • I also have pretty severe reflux and have been on Nexium for awhile.  It is still doing a pretty good job with the heartburn during pregnancy, so I am thankful for that!
  • thank you! I thought I was going crazy to assume water could give me heartburn! I have figured out the colder it is the worse it is. But no matter what I get it.

And don't get me started on tomato sauce. I had pizza the other night and I thought my whole stomach was going to come out. It was disgusting and painful. I used to take prilosec every day before getting pregnant cause I had bad heartburn THEN. Now its far worse. I have to take two zantac and supplement with tums.

  • Forgive me, but your title made me spit my water out!  Hahaha.  But, I really hope you feel better I hate when heartburn hits. :(
