Hi ladies, I just wanted to reintroduce myself. I was on here a while back but took an extended break over the last year with no trying/treatments. We'll start getting back to trying in the next few months, I have an appt w/RE March 4th, but the last few days have been particularly hard for me and I knew you ladies would understand.
A little background. I am 28 (29 on the 29th) and DH is 33. We have been TTC for 4 years (minus the break). I have had more Clomid/injectable cycles than I can even remember. Clomid did nothing for me I never really responded and always had to do double doses. I did a few IUI. We then moved from upstate NY to MA and had to get a new RE. We did 2 cycles of IVM at new RE, first one that had crappy embies and they wouldn't let me transfer because apparently my husbands sample was contaminated w/E.Coli (long story). They blamed this on DH but in reality I'm almost 100% sure they contaminated it. Second IVM BFN. In my experience IVM sucks and does not produce good quality embies. Moved on to IVF..BFP!!! only to end in M/C at 8 weeks. few months later did FET with our only 2 frosties but BFN. I was then told by my RE that not only did I have PCOS, but not he told me I was also unexplained since he couldn't figure out why i wasn't getting good embies w/IVM and BFN w/FET plus the m/c. Went for a second (well 3rd) opinion and was basically told I was too fat to get pregnant, which led to the break
DH and I both took a break to lose weight. DH is down 175lbs and I'm down 95lbs. We had to wait to go back to RE because we've moved back to upstate NY and I changed jobs = new ins. The good news is I went from not being able to get AF on my own to over the last 3 months having spontaneous AF at regular 39 day cyles, which is obviously still not normal. We haven't been trying but not preventing for the last few months.
Ok so that brings us to why the last few days have been hard. Well my SIL is currently being induced with baby #2 as I type this. (#1 was an oops after they were together only 1 month). My cousin (who used to be like my little sister) got knocked up by her BF that she hasn't even been with 1 year and we found out friday that it's twins. To top it off the idiot and her BF quit their jobs when she found out she was pregnant.
So I think I've caught everyone up....sorry this was so long, but thanks for reading if you made it this far. Good luck to all you ladies, I hope we all get our BFPs soon.
Re: Reintroducing myself....long sorry
First, congrats on the weight loss! That is an awesome accomplishment. I took a 6 month TTC break myself so I could lose weight and I've lost 25 pounds.
I'm new to the board also (haven't even done an intro post yet) but I know from lurking that everyone here is really supportive. I hope you can get your treatment plan worked out really soon. And I know how hard it is to see other people announce their pregnancies. Just remember that your time will come!
Currently pg with our 1st after 6.5 yrs of IF (thank you IVF)
