and I'm SCARED!
She's really attached to it- even asks for it by name. She rarely falls asleep without it. So we decided since she's 20 months (I wanted to ditch it at 18mo's) that we're going to start snipping the end off tonight and see how that works.
Wish me luck!
If you have any advice if you weaned a paci-dependent toddler please help! TIA!
Re: We're ditching the paci tonight...
OMG, I'm scared for you. I am not ready to tackle life without Bink.
Good Luck!
We've been paci-free since New Year's Day. We've been meaning to drop them for a while, but I haven't had the nerve to do it! I finally decided that we were going to start 2011 without pacifiers. I took them, cold turkey, on Saturday and the boys have been doing really well. Better than I expected, actually!
We pretty much had them down to just naps and bedtime, so it wasn't 24/7 or anything. The first day of naps was rough. They just didn't want to go to sleep without them!
The funny thing is that E has slept better the past 2 nights than he has in months! Maybe he kept himself awake looking for that stupid thing!
Good luck to you!
