thank you for the FYI about the Britax sale
A big thank you to the person who mentioned the Albee Baby Britax sale. It coincided perfectly with a very generous offer of assistance from my parents, and we are the soon-to-be proud owners of two convertible car seats! Which is a very good thing considering how squished our poor DS is in his infant seat!
As a side question, would it be silly to leave DD in the infant seat but have DS in his convertible? I don't know if I want to go cold-turkey on the ease of lifting a baby in and out of a car in their infant seat...

There's nothing wrong with keeping one in the infant seat if she still safely fits. I know I'm going to miss the ease of the infant seats. Our Britax seats arrived and are sitting in the living room. I'm postponing giving up the infant seats as long as I can.
