Infertility

njohnson

40 posts, and a bunch of them right in her own thread?

I guess I don't have copyright on a fictional character's name.

  • Cohen Bros movie, Raising Arizona. Wife of H.I. McDunnugh (sorry worms, Nick Cage) who was infertile. The local unfinished furniture magnate, Nathan Arizona, had quints and from sad desperation they kidnapped one of them, but realized their errant ways and returned the baby.

  • It seems odd that a pregnant woman with a kid would pick the name of a character suffering through IF as their bumpie name, but she says she is IF.

  • I didn't know if you saw it.

I actually had to google Edwina McDunnough, but it makes sense now that I see your profile pic.  It is so small that it is hard to tell they are from Raising Arizona.

I DD the original post about it.  I was worried that it may not be nice/inappropriate/insensitive for me to point out to you.

  • Ed's freak outs are not that far from my own.  Smile

It's sort of not the most thrilling thing to see, but it's not like this person has been lurking on the board and is posting on IF, or elsewhere trying to be me. I won't be posting on first tri if I get pregnant in any case.

Thanks for thinking about how I'd take it, but no worries.

If this person has a freakout that I took her name, then that's something else.

  • Ahem. erm, um, sorry for any confusion folks.  Perhaps the Edwina on first tri is an AE that another IFer/SAIFer created because she is freaking out, not knowing there was another?  Just a thought. Embarrassed
