My LO had strep throat about a month ago. She ran a fever for 2 days. Nothing too crazy. Never got over 102 and that was in the middle of the night and would go right back down with Tylenol or Motrin. She was not eating well but that wasn't uncommon for her. I, honestly, just thought it was a virus. My neice was having the same symptoms and my sister already had her 15 month appt scheduled so she mentioned it. Doc did a strep test and it came back positive. Of course, our girls had been together a couple days. We go to the same pedi and I took DD in the next day and sure enough she had it too.
She was really clingy, slept horrible, just miserable. I felt horrible letting her go 2 days with a fever.
My DS had strep throat last fall. We only realized he was sick because he had a horrible rash all over his body. We took him in for that and he was diagnosed with Strep. At the time we didn't realize it, but looking back it made sense that he seemed to want to drink contantly since his poor little throat was so sore. DH and I ended up with it, too. We were all miserable. Hope your little guy doesn't end up with it, too.
Thanks ladies, I had strep last year too and DS didn't get it but I was just wondering what to keep any eye out for, since I don't have a temp and just a sore throat with spots. Of course DS won't let me look in his throat. I will just keep any eye out. Thanks.
