So we went furniture shopping yesterday.  We originally planned on getting one set of furniture with a convertible crib for our son and just a convertible crib for our daughter since we were going to give her my furniture from when I was a little girl.  We ended up buying furniture for both nurseries (including 2 armoires, 2 dressers, 1 hutch, 4 night stands, 2 cribs, and 2 mattresses) for $4,900.  It is all really nice furniture that they can use throughout their childhood and teen years.  When we explained that we were having twins and on a budget, the manager sold us his new floor pieces at 40% off.  It was a HUGE savings!  This is a weight off my shoulders.  Now we just have our 22 week u/s this afternoon

That's great!!  We are going shopping for nursery furniture next weekend and I have my fingers crossed that either the store is having a good sale, or that they give us some kind of discount for buying 2 cribs and such.
