Re: Free Sling with code

  • The site was probably sevenslings.  The code changes all the time & I don't have a current one, but maybe someone here will have one for you.

FWIW, I have one & don't think it was worth the $15 I paid to have it shipped!  There are other affordable options if you're looking for something inexpensive.  Check here & you can get what many here would agree is a much better sling for as little as $30.

  • I also have one and don't think it's worth it.  I bought it thinking it would be perfect because it seemed simple.  DS hates it!  He is smooshed inside and not comfortable.  I also am not a fan.  I don't feel like DS is secure and feel like he could easily fall out if I bend over or move the wrong way.  He will stay in for about 10 - 15 minutes and then cry because he hates it.

  • I got one too, and I would say it was a HUGE waste of money. It's super tight, but not big enough for baby, she barely fit! Definitely a very low-quality sling.

  • i hate pouch slings, in general, and I hear this one looks really cheap when it comes.
  • I've handled one and it's not made well. If you want to experiment with some different carriers you should come to a Houston babywearers meeting or with the wrapping group me and a few other bumpies have started. Send me an email for more info krystalfare at yahoo dot com

  • i just got one from seven slings. with the promo code it was $5 -- i can't really complain.

it is cheap material and craftsmanship.

  • I agree with all the PP. It's just a piece of cheap fabric. I spent $60 on a ring sling and it was worth every single penny. If you do end up ordering from sevenslings, get at least two sizes bigger than they tell you to. I ordered one size up and it's still incredibly tight.

i found the opposite with me. I ordered according to their size chart and feel that it's too big.

  • It is basically a single layer cotton circle.  I saw one last month at BWing, it's thin and difficult to size correctly.  I recommend buying the size insurance if your going to order one.  Then I suggest going to a local BW group to see if it is sized correctly and your LO is in it safely.

  • I guess I am going to be the voice of dissent, here...I got my sling a few days ago.  It isn't an amazing carrier, but certainly worth the eleven dollars that I paid for it.  DD really likes it and feels secure in it.  I selected my size based on the hip to shoulder measurement, not my clothing size, and am happy with my size.  (If I had used my clothing size, I would have gotten a different sling and not been happy with it.)

I certainly would never pay full price for this sling, but am happy with the shipping that I paid for it...It is a great size for a diaper bag sling...I will mostly use it for quick errands.
