First, I think we need a new name. Ha! "Weekly Anger Issues Check-in" doesn't have a very nice ring to it. :-) So, if you have any suggestions, let me know.
Second, I'm going to keep this laid-back. If we find success with this, we can create an e-mail list that can be used for support.
I'll post every Sunday afternoon and I'll have a weekly question(s) and assignment (use that term loosely) for all of us. Anybody is welcome to join in on the conversation.
Week 1 Questions: Do you use any sort of physical exercises to cope with anger (i.e. walking, stomping, running,etc...)? If so, please share.
Week 1 assignment: I found a great article on mothering.com called Meditating Mamas. "These meditations offer you a manageable and valuable source of comfort and strength. We hope you will use them as you wish: daily, weekly, or at the drop of a diaper." Read through the article and mediations and practice daily as needed. Meditating Mamas

Neena (my DD) and I go on a lot of walks and they always calm me down. Even in the cold Iowa winter we try to get outside to walk at least 3 times/week. I just got a YMCA membership so I'm going to start swimming again--water is so therapeutic and it will offer me time by myself to reflect and get some great exercise.

Thanks for the link. II think Calm mamas is great
I will have to check in on Sunday. I'm not on here all the time but I think this is great.
I try to get on the treadmill but I can't at the time I am upset. I have found that I just breathe when I'm upset or remind myself that LO loves me or needs me for something.
I will check out the link. I don't know if this is the same one that was in the last issue of mothering or not, but the last issue also had a great artical in about anger.
