period late but BFN?

SOOOO...I started my period Nov. 28 last month, so I figured I'd start around the 30th this month because its always a couple days off. Well still no AF. I tested New Years Eve at like 2am & BFN. I'm getttting excited that I might be pregnant! Should I wait a few more days to test??

when did you ovulate? If yo ovulated late (which can happen), then you might not be due for your period, as your LP (luteal phase) usually stays the same or can vary by maybe a day or two.

i.e. If I usually ovulate on CD 18 and my LP is 13 days long, I will get AF on CD 31. However, if i ovulate later, say CD 20, then my period would most likely start on CD 33.

I say wait another 2 days or so and test again. You might have a late implanter (as I did)

Also, test with FMU.

I would wait a few days, and make sure you use first thing in the morning pee b/c it's the most concentrated. Don't drink a lot of water throughout the night before you take the test. You might also try a different brand of test.

I had a BFN at 14 dpo and then a BFP at 18 dpo.

I also forgot to add that you might not have ovulated at all. Sometimes that happens and your cycle becomes very long until bleeding begins.

It was weird because I'm really in tune with my body & I felt like I was ovuluting for close to 2 weeks (discharge wise) I guess only time will tell! Thanks ladies = )

I was expecting my period yesterday according to how long my cycles "usually" are and when I "think" I ovulated this cycle (CD 12 I think).  I havne't got it yet and tested this morning and got a BFN.  So I either ovulated later than I actually thought I did this month, which is very likely since I am not charting or using OPKs this time around or I am pregnant and it's just to early to tell on a HPT.  Either way the only answer is to keep waiting, either my period will probably show in the next few days or I'll test again.  I will probably wait at least 3 days to test again. 

I charted and used OPK's when TTC the first time around and I know my O date would vary, anywhere from CD 11-CD 15, but my LP was always 14 days, thus my actual cycle length would vary, anywhere from 25-30 days ish.  Today is only CD 28, so still not outside of my "norm".   Bottom line, without charting we really don't know for certain when we ovulated and thus sometimes we aren't really late yet when we think we are.

Wait a couple days.  How late are you?  You could have ovulated late or not at all, or you are pregnant and it was just too early.  

I am currently late, though I don't think I ovulated at all this month.  (Can't always go off CM and my temps were WAY all over the place.)  I am impatiently waiting so I can go to the Dr and get Provera to make me start.  (I have cysts and they cause me to ovulate late or not at all, my periods are all out of whack.)  Though I am not trying to get pregnant, I am wanting to avoid pregnancy.  3 kids is enough for me.

Do you exclusively Breastfeed? up until September/October I didn't get an AF. its taken me OPKs and charting to find out how regular my O is also AF. The first couple AF's are a pita as they are not regular enough!

I agree with pp and say wait 2 days or so. Could be pg, or could have ovulated late. GL!
