All I want to eat throughout the day are sweets. I drink quite a bit of milk and for a meal at home I'll usually eat something like a lunch meat sandwich, but throughout the day I'm eating cookies. I went through a whole package of Chips Ahoy yesterday. I can't get myself to eat anything healthy like fruits. How would you suggest I get enough nutrition? I of course take my daily prenatal vitamin but I don't feel like I'm doing enough.
Re: Eating sweets all through the day... help.
my husband's deployed overseas, and I flew back to our home state across the country and am staying with my parents during his deployment. So my mom will buy the cookies on her own. and if I see them in the drawer I get into them
good idea!
I'm in the same boat! My hubby is overseas and I'm living with my parents. My mom also likes to buy sweets so I know your pain lol... I really can't say no if it's in the house I have NO self control. But the smoothie thing sounds like a good idea!
I'm the same way. I
sweets. I just don't buy them, they aren't in the house. I also find that if I had one of those bite size Hersheys after dinner or lunch, it really helped my craving. You still have to have self control to only eat one, or two. I haven't bought any in a while though.
Can you ask your mom to hide the sweets?
I'm currently with my parents too, and every night they make an all-fruit smoothie that is easy and really yummy, just liquify seedless red grapes to make the base and then add frozen strawberries and blueberries and blend! Add ice and blend again if it's not thick enough for your taste, and enjoy! It's at least one serving of fruit and lots of natural sugars to satisfy your sweet tooth.
You can also try chewing gum when you get cravings, just remember that the 'sugar-free' kind probably has artificial sweeteners so check ingredients if you're worried about that.
