Parenting after a Loss

Help!

Jack is 9 weeks old. He has his usual fussy time in the evening but other than that he is a happy baby. Last night he got fussy at the usual time, but nothing would calm him down. Then when we tried going to bed he was wide awake. He looked tired but instead of sleeping he just cried and cried. He did finally sleep however when we got up this morning he startedin onthe screaming again. He usually takes a nap in the morning but is currently wide awake but content in his swing. We were thinking maybe his stomach hurt, but he is still eating. Could it be a growth spurt? Any suggestions on how to get my happy baby back? I tried allthe tricks I know.

Re: Help!

  • Nathan gets like that when he has bad gas. Could that be Jack's problem? I use mylicon drops pretty often to help.

  • Have you read the "Happiest Baby on the Block" or watched the video?  It really helped us w/ techniques to calm DD.

It also could be gas or a growth spurt.  It really is hard to know.

  • Yeah he has gas problems but we use the Mylicon drops too. And I have read Happiest Baby On the Block. Those were all the things I tried last night plus other things I found work for him. I am at a loss. I think today is going to be a cuddle day. I won't get anything done that I had planned, but if it makes him happy that is all that matters
