Baby getting into position...

I am just curious, did you ladies know when your baby moved to head down position? My baby has been the long ways through my belly (head on one side, butt on the other) and I am curious as to if I will know when she moves to head down. What are some of the changes that occur? if any...

Re: Baby getting into position...

  • My LO was transvesre until about 30 weeks and then she went head down.  I knew because I felt feet under my ribs ALL the time...US 2 weeks ago confirmed what I thought. I feel a lot more pressure on my bladder, especially when she wiggles...her head is like directly on my bladder ( or that is how it feels)

  • I could feel her scooting and turning, little by little.  I didn't know for sure until my ultrasound this week.

  • The first sign for me was a lot of pressure and achy pain in my pelvis, and less pressure on my rib cage. I could also see a difference, my belly looks lower and it's not as high up with my chest resting on it anymore!

  • You should be able to tell the position by where they are kicking, up high close to your ribs should be head down, and down low probably means head up. I found this site to be helpful https://www.spinningbabies.com/baby-positions/belly-mapping.

  • I wasn't sure until I was ying on my side, then I could feel down low his head, and up higher and to the side his feet kicking me. Turns out I was right bgecause my midwife confirmed this at my appt.
