drinks bath water

why?!?!? DS loves to drink his bath water, its really gross. I've tried to take out all the toys that carry water but he even will bite on the washcloth and suck the water out of it. Also he gets his face really close to water and tries drinking straight from tub.

Any suggestions on how to get him to stop drinking bath water? Should I not be worried and just let him drink it?

When we push the button to let the water out of the tub, DD takes a few drinks, like she is trying to drink it before it goes away.  My logic is that her soap is all natural and she is not filthy or anything - how bad could it be?

Ah, my LO has started doing this too! So gross! He will either slurp it from the tub, dump a cup into his face and drink, or tilt his head under a toy that strains water and drink.

His shampoo and wash is natural, but I am sure he pee's in the tub....that just seems gross no matter how sterile urine is!

I am thinking it is just a phase and hoping it will pass, I don't want him to drink the pool water when we start lessons again....that would be much worse!

"Drinks Bath Water" is A's Iroquios name, I actually read something about this once, before she ever tried it. As gross as it seems, it is harmless. So I will usually say "yuck, we don't drink water from the tub!" but not sweat it.
