Questions regarding your pregnancy pain/discomfort

During your 2nd+ pregnancy, did you have a certain spot(s) that was/is just really sore?  If so, did you have a csection previously?

With my 2nd and this pregnancy, there is one spot, that, when pressed by the baby (leaning his/her head or stretching, whatever), it is just like... JFC painful.  I have to push the head/hand/whatever back in, and it is just excruciating as I do it.  Any other spot that is stretched or leaned against doesn't produce any pain, though.  With this pregnancy, it also produces a dull ache in that area during BH contractions.  And I never had the pain with my first pregnancy.

I was just curious if this is with all subsequent pregnancies, or  just with csections.   The spot is pretty far from where I think the cut is, though.

  • I never had a c sec but I have heard each pregnancy gets harder and more uncomfortable. That was definitely true for me from 1-2. I can't imagine the soreness/uncomfortableness/painful pokes etc...that would come from having a 3rd.

  • I don't have spots on my belly that are painful but I had two vaginal deliveries. I do have a "kicked in the crotch with a cowboy boot" (RLP?) pain that is definitely even more painful this time around.

  • You may have internal adhesions. Scar tissue doesn't have to be directly under the incision, and if the baby is leaning on it and making it pull, it can be pretty painfuul.

My aches and pains were exponentially worse with #2.

  • My 2nd pg sucked.  I ended up being off of work for 3 weeks before I had DS because I was in so much pain.  Dr told me it was just pg discomfort.  Whatever.  The c-section I had with him wasn't as bad as what she deemed "discomfort".  1st child was a vaginal birth so my pain didn't have anything to do with a c-section.

Sorry you have it.  Mine was awful.  Hope yours gets better!

  • With both girls, I remember the spot right above my belly button would hurt a lot if it got stretched from them sticking their head or butt out. I had c-sections with both, but don't think it is related.

  • As I sit here with a heating pad on the lower left side of my back...

I have soreness with in similar places with 1 and 2.  I do believe I have pubic symphysis disorder (that was mentioned above).  I recently bought a support belt at Motherhood Maternity that has been helping with that pain as well as some of the back pain.  That pain has been much worse this time around.  The baby's toosh is in my side and when he stretches, it's definitely uncomfortable.  That was actually worse with #1.  He was so high that he wold press into my liver and ribs.  Oh, and I had a vaginal with #1.
