I am still trying to figure out a name for this baby if he/she happens to be a boy.
Family history: My grandfather was 100% Irish, my husband's family is of Scottish descent on his father's side. We also have a strong Portuguese lineage and Norwegian background.
My older son's name is Nicholas James; my daughter's name is Evelyn Elizabeth (after my grandmother and mother). If this baby is a girl, she will either be Charlotte or Amelia. I like traditional names with common/correct spelling.
Regardless of first name, this baby (if a boy), will have Cristopher as a middle name (spelled that way because that is my husband's middle name and his grandparent's last name is Crist). We don't use nicknames in our family. The baby's last name is two syllables, begins with B and ends with -ly.
So what do you think of Kieran, given the information you have? Any other suggestions?
We've vetoed the following names:
Any name that begins with "M"
Corbin
Owen
Aidan/Hayden/Braydon/Caden/Tayden or any variation of those names
Noah
Wyatt
Elijah
Preston
Oliver
Beckett
Thanks for your input.
Re: Due tomorrow on green team: WDYT of Kieran?
I think Kieran Cristopher sounds really nice. As long as your last name doesn't start with a K or a hard C.
And I think Nicholas, Evelyn, and Kieran sounds great! Kieran has the K sound from Nicholas, and the N sound of Evelyn!! But it's not matchy-matchy at all!
Love Kieran.
Congratulations, and best wishes!

Thank you ladies! I think I may have convinced my husband to use Kieran if this baby is a boy.
Happy New Year!
