Last night was by far the scariest night of my life. I started having severe abdominal pains, throwing up (which I think was because the pain was so bad) I was weak, faint and my body was tingling and numb. I called my husband home from work and he took me to the ER. They ran tests and turns out I have a sist on one of my ovaries and a Urinary tract infection. I have never had any kind of problems like this before pregnant. The baby is ok. Actually got to see the ultrasound for the first time and hear the heartbeat. It was amazing. I am 3 days further along than I thought. LOL. Needless to say I am in bed for the weekend!
My ob found a 4cm cyst on my ovary with my first US this week. He
said it's actually common for women to develop a cyst from the actual
site of the ovulation which caused the pregnancy. I was on info
overload, so I didn't retain every single detail, but there's sometimes a
crater left in the ovary from the egg that resulted in pregnancy. The
hormones create some kind of trap with the crater and blood fills it. I
don't think I'd had any issues before either, none that any gyno had ever told
me about. So for me, he's just going to check it with more frequent
US's and keep an eye on it.
So glad you and baby are safe!
