Chapped skin

Howdy! My DS has really chapped hands. I'd like to put something on them to soothe the skin, but know his hands will go straight in his mouth as will whatever I put on it. Do you have any suggestions of what I can use if anything? TIA!

We always use Aquaphor or you can even use Lanolin. They make a "baby" aquaphor but I think it is the same thing. I swear that is the best stuff ever.
