Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Clothes Sizes vent

DS is in 18 month tops and 24 month footed sleepers. His pants, however have been 12 months. They're getting too short for him. But his 18 month pants either dont fit in the waist or are super long on him.. This poor child has to either wear pants that are too short, or pants that I have to fold down and they don't fit right and fall off of him. I wish they made a 15 month size. Because I'm pretty sure that is what size his pants would be.

  • We have a similar problem. DS is in 2T everything except pants. 18 months are too short and too tight in the waist, some 24 mos fit, yet some I have to take in at the waist. While 2T pants generally are too big.

I wish the sizing was the same from brand to brand too.

  • My little guy is much the same fit-wise.  He is currently in 24 mo and working on 2T for tops (needs the length, long-torso) and just now finally fitting into his 18-24 mo size bottoms as far as length goes, the waists are all waaaay to big on him.  I bought a package of dapper snappers  and they have worked wonders, highly recommend them!  Also I find putting a onesie on helps keep the pants up too, as opposed to just a t-shirt.

  • Sorry, no clicky, but copy and paste, it should work.  They only work on pants with belt loops but those tend to be the worse for DS as far as fit goes anyways, so they are great!  You can still slip their pants on and off for diaper changes without removing it.

Nice! I just ordered one. We'll see how it goes, if they work on DS I'll buy the 3 pack.

  • I wish there was a 15 month size too!  I've been trying to find pants with the adjustable waist.  Those tend to work better for my DS since the 12 months are too short and the 18 are too big!

  • Could you try out the 12-18 month size in Gap or Old Navy clothing? All of Tegan's 12 month pants are a bit too long (since she's not walking yet, it isn't that big a deal), but we have the same problem as you, just with 6-9 month size pants. However, I've noticed that the few pairs of pants that she has in the 6-12 month Gap size, are the perfect length.
