Seeing you ladies talking about freezer meals made me think.
I have a French Door Cabinet Depth (hence smaller) refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen. Our freezer is packed and it is just two of us. I think I am going to need a second freezer just for baby food and breast milk.
Anyone else have one? I am thinking of getting a small one - not a full size one. Maybe 3 cubic feet.
Re: s/o Freezer Meals
I've been wanting a 2nd freezer or fridge for awhile but hubby didn't think we needed it. Luckily he works for a major appliance manufacturer and was able to score us a test model thats for a garage. The cool thing is that you can switch the freezer / fridge sections, so right now, the bottom part, bigger part is set for a freezer and the top is the fridge but you can change it at anytime.
You can usually find good deals on the chest freezers too at places like Costco, Sams.
We have a french door in our kitchen too and the freezer space sorta sucks.
I like to make a lot of meals to freeze, so we bought a 5ish cu.ft. chest freezer a few years ago. Best $120 we ever spent.
if you can swing it, I think it's definitely worth it.
I have an upright freezer in the basement and love, love, love it. When I was home on maternity leave I made a ton of freezer meals for when I went back to work and I definitely couldn't have done that without the freezer.
I would pay a bit more and get an upright because in a chest things get buried at the bottom. Also, I'm a huge fan of a self-defrost one because if you have to defrost it once or twice a year then you have to figure out where to put everything while you do that and it's a pain.

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
