When you get contrax

does your entire belly get hard, or does it seem like your uterus shrinks and gets hard around baby?

When I have BH, or the occasional painful contrax, it seems like I can feel every nook and cranny of baby. There are soft parts of my belly, but only where baby isn't. Does that make sense?

How bout you?

Re: When you get contrax

  • That makes sense, and it happens to me sometimes when LO is laying totally on one side or the other...but usually my whole belly gets hard and I can't feel LO at all.

  • I get both kinds, sometimes my whole belly get hard, I notice those are more with BH. But with "real" kind of painful contractions I tend to get some soft spots on my upper belly then my lower belly is rock hard and it hurts. Does that make any sense at all? lol
  • Your LO can sometimes make you feel like you are having a BH when they push off, vice versa too in you thinking it is LO pushing when it is actually a BH. Usually when I have a BH it is hard no matter if there is baby there or not and is towards the bottom of my uterus.

If my entire uterus contracts those are doozies and not fun but those happen far and few in between.
