US Army Air Traffic Controller

We don't have any kids yet but we have the most adorable Shih Tzu. 

We aren't trying yet because we are both deployed, but Im going off the birth control in about a week or so.    Less than 60 days left in this plce. 

 

An interesting fact......   Once we get out of the military, we are both going back to school and I want to get a degree in Early Childhood Education so I can be a kindergarten teacher.

Last but not least one interesting fact about you... I bit my nails for 25 years.  I find it extraordinarily difficult not to pick at them all the time if they're not 100% smooth.  And, once I start picking, the whole nails ends up gone.

We made the decision to TTC this holiday season. According to an internet cheapie OPK, I was ovulating yesterday. Needless to say, we tried to catch that egg! *Fingers Crossed*

Hey LisaBea! My dhs sister and bil are in the army! Totally understand what your going thru. Just a suggestion when you do go off bc. Get Fertility Friend and read the tutorials. I learned so much about my body once I did that. You can click on any of the girls tickers to get there. The one the bump provides is not accurate at all! I wish you lots of luck girlie!! Hurry 60 days!

I have MTFR and Factor V Lienden, w/ 2 miscarriages  and one full term baby so a little bit of an expert in this area at least!

26 DH is 28 Elementary Teacher 2 fur babies, a Schnorkie named Maggie and a mutt named Zoey Off BC since July, this is my first month charting. I don't know...I guess I am pretty boring. Lol

Nice to meet you!  MH is in criminal defense.  Do you specialize in any particular area?  He also had a different profession before law school -- Marine Corps.

Specialize-- nope. I have been a public defender for the past 4 years and I think I will continue to do this until we move back East (hopefully within the next year or so. I am REALLY hoping to go into private practice at that point because I am getting a little burnt out.   How about your husband-- is he in private practice? Did you guys meet in law school?

Very happy you posted!!! Happy life has changed for the better! Dh was the same way. Three years before meeting DH he got drunk every day, weighed 100lbs heavier, and ate fast food breakfast/lunch/dinner. Its amazing the man he is now and wont even look at a can or bottle of beer!! ETA: Also, before we concieved Ryan I was told I had probable PCOS and high FSH (14). My doctor said I would most likely need some "help" to get pregnant. We're not sure if Ryan is our miracle baby or if the doctors were wrong. I go back to my OB for my annual/pap appointment and will ask to have the labs re-drawn to find out for sure what/if  we're dealing with.

How long have you been trying? this is our 7th month..  I have had bloodwork done and my husband has had a SA.  My doctor had us do this early because we have not used contraceptive in 6 years and she was concerned that we have not been pregnant yet.

Last but not least one interesting fact about you... I have been skydiving once...and got it all out of my system and do not feel it is necessary for me to do it again!

This is a really good idea!  It's nice to get to know about everyone!

Occupation? I'm doing my last year of grad school as a School Psychologist (full-time paid internship) - before that I was a paralegal.

Any kids or furbabies?  We have 3 dogs: Loki, a husky; Sasha, a red heeler mutt; and Sadie, a border collie/blue heeler mix

How long have you been trying?  This is our 2nd cycle, but I'm pretty sure we'll be onto the 3rd any day here.

Last but not least one interesting fact about you...  I speak Russian and traveled to Russia 3 times for school during high school for a month plus each time.  The last time was to compete in the international spoken Russian competition (I won the Iowa State competition to earn my spot there).  Didn't do very well in the international competition, but it was a great trip!

We were two and done but I kept feeling a sense of emptiness so I talked it out with DH and we decided to go for it again. I have PCOS and it took 5 months each time but this time I am on Metformin ahead of time so I am hopeful it won't take as long. ( Just so I don't get flamed - 5 months is not long.)

Interesting fact about you?  My parents adopted my older sister and I from S.Korea after TTC for 8 years.  My mom got preggo with my younger brother 2 months after I arrived in the US (when I was only 6 months old).  Then she got pregnant with my little sister a month after having my brother.  They were planning to adopt more kids, but out came my two younger sibs!

I was a preemie too!  I was born 3 months early and weighed 2lbs4oz.  I stayed in the hospital for three months until my duedate.  My lungs were not developed and I was on a breathing machine for a month...as a result I have asthma.  To top it off, my parents had insurance but the insurance only covered the first month of care in the NICU...the remaining two months they had to pay out of pocket.  To this day, they are still sending a check to the hospital each month.  In the end, they say it was all worth it!  I agree! 

I was also a preemie! I weighed 2lbs 12oz and was in the hospital for 5 weeks in the NICU.  I'm an identical twin and my sister was more than double my weight.

 I was a preemie too.  I was born 3 months early and weighed 2lbs 4oz.  I stayed in the hospital for three months.  My parents insurance did not cover over 30 days in the NCIU so they just recently paid off the last of the hospital bill.  We were both lucky to be here huh!
