Appt. Today not so good...

I had my monthly check-up today and my blood pressure is high. I've been running high for a few appts. now.. 150/80(no protein in the urine or anything) They are a little worried and want me to check my bp a couple of times a day to see if there is a pattern. I go back next Thursday to see if everything is ok.

I guess several things can happen. It can cause low birth weight for the baby and I could be put on BP meds or be put on bed rest. I am taking it in stride for now and just hope that everything is fine and the baby is healthy.

I was actually feeling happy about today's appt. till I heard all of this. Just when I finally let myself relax. Sucks. I really hope this doesnt become a problem..

    ugh, sorry. :-(  The good news is that you don't have protein in your urine and being a "little" worried is better than being "very" worried, right? (grasping here....)

    Sending you T&Ps that your b/p stabilizes and doesn't continue to get worse and that it doesn't affect your LO.

    Have you asked them to take it at the end of your appointment? Sometimes I get "white coat syndrome" and that makes it go up. Once I've heard the heartbeats and they take it again, it drops.

    he did take it again after the heart beat and it was still 140 over something..I forget. I shouldn't have googled :( Now  I'm scared.

    I'm sorry.  I don't know much about high blood pressure but I hope they are able to get yours down.
