Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Workout Routines for Mommies?

How does everyone here get their 3x per week workout routine in?

Suggestions needed.  I'm questioning if I should cancel my membership to my local Gym, but I still want to workout and gain results from it.

    I go 4-6x a week

  • The park has become my best friend! I put DS in the wagon and take off running. It keeps him entertained and having to pull it gives me an extra little something.
  • DH and I go to the gym every Tuesday and Thursday and DS goes to the daycare at the gym.  He loves it and runs away from us when we go to pick him up.  He has a really good time.

    DH normally goes on Saturday afternoons while DS naps and I go on Sundays.

  • does your gym have daycare? if not, i'd switch.

    i take them to the daycare on tuesdays/thursdays while take spin classes and on wed while i lift weights and swim.

    all other days i run with them in their jogging  stroller - or, i roller blade with them in the jogging stroller.  roller blading with the stroller is a great workout and so much fun.

    i also have my bike on a trainer in my livingroom so i can cycle before they wake up, and while they nap.  i have some spinning workout videos that i downloaded on my laptop.  if you have a bike, you can do this.

    also, sometimes my DH watches them so i can workout (i have a running and cycling clubs that i like to workout with).

  • DS and I go to the gym M-W-F in the morning and on Saturday's when DH is working.  T/Th I go in the evening while DH gets DS ready for bed since DS and I go to work those days.

    Of course there are exceptions to that, if DS is sick we don't go etc.... I make it a priority in my life, exercise is an integral part of my sanity for the most part :)
