Sorry if this is a repost. I received and error with my original post.
Ok-So DD moved up to the next class and apparently the thing to do is to buy gifts for all the kids in the class.
I feel like a dog for not knowing this for Christmas and my DD was the loser kid with the cheap parents (I guess). I did bring in fancy cupcakes that were $4 each, but the other parents don't know.
So, and I ideas? Does your child's daycare do the same thing?
I am not looking to be crafty. Usually I am, but I just finished my cancer treatment and I'm dog tired.
Re: Valentine Gifts 4 Daycare, need Advice
Hey! Don't call youself cheap, dc is expensive enough. Also, for the kids at Chrsitmas we brought in munchkins which they wrote on the daily sheet (thanks Addison for munchkins), so everyone knew. That's all we did for the kids and she didn't get any presents from others.
For V-day maybe get a box of those cheesy yet funny kids cards and maybe bake but thats it. Gifts for v-day. Oh no, not here.
Also, it is not a must to do gifts. ..at anytime. Noone told me anything about dc gifts, are you friends w/ any dc moms? Keep in touch with a couple...
Sorry you are (dog) tired from your treatment-hope you feel better soon.
I usually buy a small gift for ds's teachers, but the kids don't exchange anything. For Valentines Day, I would make some cookies or buy those cute cards to pass out and call it a day. We're cheap parents too. We just don't have that kind of money to spend on kids we barely know.
Awesome on finishing your treatment!
I am friendly with one DC mom and I bought her daughter a gift, but I didn't want her to feel awkward so I put it was from secret santa. LOL Duh me!
Yeah, these people, some of the kids I have never seen, spent like $10 per kid! 10 kids in the class...
Thanks for the kudos! I am so looking forward to getting my hair back!
Buy gifts for the kids? That's thier parents job, not the job of other parents in the class! I bought small gifts for the teachers in DD's class for Xmas, but that's it. There would be no way I would buy gifts for each kid in the class, that's just insane.
I brought in cupcakes for a fall party they had, and will proably do that again for Valentines Day- but gifts- heck no!
