Are you seeing a midwife through a hospital or through a private practice?? I was wondering because I had looked into possible using a midwife with Norah but since I had a c/s in the past they wouldnt even considering taking me as a patient. How did you get so lucky??

The midwives are part of a doctor's office. At first I thought I had to have a doctor. But, they were horribly booked up when I called at 8wks. Then Amy suggested trying the midwives, so I called and they were like sure! (I guess they only take so many vbacs per month, so I called early enough!)
But there also has to be a doctor involved since it is a vbac. I guess whoever is oncall (DR) has to spend the night at the hospital if I am there in labor.
