I keep track of my appts/to-do list at work with a weekly planner, and the one I've been using was a 2 year planner that I have had since 7/09.
I need to shred it now that I have a new one, it has all kinds of personal info about clients, employees, passwords, accounts, etc. but I'm having a hard time letting go and throwing it in that bin.
It has survived pregnancy, birth, a 3 month blank space of maternity leave, a trial promotion, a real promotion, the 2 month adjustment period when I started this new position of FULL pages and extra lists paperclipped when I had so much to do I was drowning.
Anyone else get really sentimental about looking back over a period in your life and reminiscing over the pages, even if it's a planner full of work stuff?
Re: I'm Way Too Sentimental
oh jeepers I do the same thing... I got a promotion at work and I got to change offices the old calendars I found... I keep all kinds of things like that! I am really trying to get rid of things... It's hard!
Good luck to you!
So I've heard...
I made my boss toss it. She was going to the ladies room and had to pass the shred bin to get there.
Sigh...I knew if I didn't do it soon I'd chicken out, and it really cannot be in danger of being lost.
Then I sat at my desk with my hands on my fresh, new planner, took a big deep breath, and said to myself "this year will be even better".
ETA: Rereading that, I'm such a nerd.
