My best friend (and I mean very best friend) is in town for 2 weeks.  I never get to see her throughout the year because she's in HAWAII!  Argh.  I miss her sooooo bad, and she has so many damn people to see I feel like she's not even here because I've only seen her once in the last week.  I just miss her and want to see her everyday she's here!

my BFF lives 12 hours away.. when she's in town I feel like I have to "share" her with everyone... it sucks!

I know it is probably a long shot, but any chance you could take a trip to Hawaii to see her? Then she would be all your's for the time you were there! If not, sorry you have to share! Boo!

If she was anywhere on the mainland, I would go no question.  But I've been to Hawaii, and that flight is a real pain in the arse.  Besides, she would never forgive me if I went without bringing Luke, she loves that kid so much.  And the thought of bringing him to Hawaii with the flight and time change...blah blah blah...makes me want to take a nap.

Oh I totally understand.  My very best friend moved to Orlando, FL 4 years ago.  I miss her like crazy!  She couldn't even come home for Christmas this year b/c of her work schedule.  June was the last time I saw her.

I had the same problem when my best friend would come into town.  I had to share her with her family.

That problem got solved when I married her brother and became part of her family...lol.

Yeah, DH and I went there for our honeymoon. It was great while we were there, but the flight is ridiculously long/ loys of layovers, too. And I am such a nervous flier! I don't blame you for not wanting to haul a kid out that way!

You aren't selfish! You just miss her. I totally understand. My BFF lives a few hours away and it sucks. I guess a few hours is better than another state though. Sorry Lopo!

I feel the same away about a good friend of mine. Now that the little guys are in the picture, we only get to do one girl's night, and one family get together when she's here. I wish we could do more (I miss you J if you're lurking. Haha.)

My lil sis is here for the week, and I feel the same way about her. they watched our bowl game last night with their friends, and I was totally jealous. I guess I thought they would want to watch it with us.
