good gift for friends with new 2nd baby?

We are going to see friends of ours on friday. I already brought a little outfit and hat to the hospital, but wanted to spend a bit more (prob @ 40$) on a welcome gift.  This is their 2nd kid so they have all the essentials, although it is their first girl (but the mom is a shopper to the extreme and knew she was having a girl so I doubt they need much clothing wise).

 

I would go for something personalized, but don't think I have time to find something and get it done.

 

any ideas?

Not the best gift idea I'm sure - but with DS we needed new teethers, rattles, and a few toys (DD still thinks EVERYTHING is hers). It's hard because, like you said, most people still have all the essentials from LO#1. GL!

You could put together a little basket with a pack of diapers, wipes, a Sophie, some onesies, etc. Or a Babys' R Us card. Those are always appreciated.

And how are you 31 weeks already!? I swear you just announced your BFP!

I have gotten a few friends with 2nd babies Mommy Necklaces ( a nursing necklace). Babies love to play with them, and it makes moms feel a little more put together!

We recieved a personalized wooden block (just like the ones kids play with). Each size says the following:

Her full name

Initial

Proud Parents (and their names)

DOB, Time, Weight and Leangth

Footprints and the City she was born in

A Special Gift from....

I absolutely love it. We got it about a week after we got home.

I would get a baby carrier... the moby or sleepy wrap go for about 40 bucks. with 2 kids it will come in handy!
