It's looking pretty likely that we'll be at home. 2 of the friends that I would love to go out with are staying in that night, one is pg and the other, her DH doesn't feel like going out. I could go either way. I don't want to go out without a plan with friends, but part of me feels a little holiday crash coming on. My house is a disaster, we're suppose to get MORE snow on Thursday into Friday and I just can't seem to get caught up on day-to-day stuff. The weekend after next we have DH's 30th bday party here at our house, the weekend after that, DD's bday party. I just want some normal for a little bit, does that make sense? Maybe I'm getting old? Lol.

Re: What are you doing for NYE?
Sit at home! lol
I usually make the same meal every year, but not sure I'm doing that this year. So broke!

We are hosting a few friends and their kids for a little party. Games, food, fun!
Before everyone arrives I am making dinner just for DH and myself. We are having lobster tails and opening the bottle of Dom Perignon that I got as a baby shower gift from one of DH's co-workers. Celebrating a wonderful first year as a family.
We're staying in. We got invited to a party, but I don't want to ask any of our family members to watch Ben so that we can go out. I don't want them being out on the roads if they don't have to be. And quite honestly, NYE is my least favorite holiday, so I'm quite content to stay in my nice warm house, watch a movie with DH and drink champagne.
DH and I were talking and said that next year, Ben would be just shy of 4 years old on NYE, so maybe he could have a 'sleepover' at my parent's house if we decided that we wanted to go out. We'll see...

We are still trying to figure out what we are going to do, if anything.
I don't want to leave the house with DS- so a little gathering is a good answer to that, but then other people have to drive. and with the next snonami possibly on its way we don't want to put other people in danger either...
so home with a movie and probably crash at 10.
I feel so old.
Hosting a surprise 40th birthday party for my husband! I am excited but man I cannot wait for it to be over.
Normally we'd be like a lot of others, having some family time and probably not even staying up until midnight.
We are going to friends' for an early supper and to watch our kids play. They are new friends and I'm really happy to be invited to this party. We'll probably be in bed asleep by midnight, though.
DH also makes a big New Year's feast of super-yummy Southern food and I can't wait.
