TTC After a Loss

OPK question

So I've officially started using OPK for the first time today.  I'm on CD 12 and the line was fairly dark but not as dark as the control line.  How long does it generally take to match the control line?  Is it usually within a day or two?  Sorry if this is an impossible question :)  I tested this morning and will test again when I get home to see if it changed..... TIA!

Re: OPK question

  • Once I see a darker line I usually get a + within the next 2 days.

  • I think the "fade in" process is different for everyone.  I would say to just keep testing until it's definitely as dark or darker than the control line.  Or you can buy the digitals, which I find to be much more helpful because you get a smiley face when it's positive!  Good luck!!

  • It is hard to know.  I've had cycles where the line never faded in at all, just boom + one day.  I've had cycles where the line faded in over the course of a week or so.  If it is almost as dark as the control, you're probably within a few days of a + though.

  • I got a darker line, then it faded out and finally I got a + opk a week later.  It can vary person to person.
