MIL to me: "You weren't ENTIRELY HUGE"

Ummm...yep. That is what MIL said to me on Christmas when my SIL and I were discussing pregnancy. We were not even talking about weight, size or anything, just that pregnancy is 'not that fun' and MIL chimes in to me "Well, you weren't entirely THAT HUGE." Who says that? Any opportuniy to throw a dig at me and she will take it.

Umm, thanks. You just reiterated why I avoid you.

i never understand why people who have obviously had children make comments like that. one time my grandma called and asked me "so, you gettin fat yet?". really grandma?
