Need opinions

DH & I both have off on Friday for the holiday. E's DCP is open Friday. I was planning to keep E home with us on Friday but DH has mentioned taking E to DCP and us going out for breakfast & a movie. I normally do not feel guilty about sending her to DCP even when I am off, but for some reason I am this time.

If she did stay home with us, we would probably just hang around the house. The weather is so crappy and rainy here I wouldn't want to take her out in it. She just got over 2 colds.

WWYD?

  • I would be all about the breakfast and a movie day. Movies are cheaper during the day and who couldn't use a date!

  • Go out and don't regret it. I am the same way if I am off or DH is off I always want to keep DD home, but your relationship needs attention to :) I would go out for breakfast and a movie and pick her up early afternoon. You deserve a fun day!

  • Take advantage of babyless dates while you can. Make a rule to not talk about your LO too.  Your DD would want you to have mommy/daddy time.

  • go spend the day with your DH... you can spend the whole evening and weekend with her

  • Personally my husband and I would opt for renting movies, making a delicious breakfast and lounging about.

If you want to go out and have one on one time than go for it. Your marriage is important as well.  If you don't get a lot of days to do movie and breakfast than it would be a great opportunity for you two.

  • Go out! Every couple needs a date night(or day in your case). Enjoy!

  • Thanks ladies. I know my marriage needs 1 on 1 time too. We have GCs to the movies so breakfast would be the only expense. We were talking about seeing a movie next weekend, I just hadn't thought about sending E to DCP and us going out.
  • Well, look at it this way: you will have breakfast, then go to a movie, and STILL have extra time with DD (that you wouldn't have had if you were working).  Don't feel guilty, enjoy!

  • I'd make a nice huge breakfast or an overnight french toast and have a big family breakfast togther and then rent a movie to watch together with your husband at nap time.
