They have only been taking 1/2 a stage 1 jar each...Well Wesley ate the whole jar...So right know this is what they are getting everyday..

Re: How much food?
In Baby 411, they recommend:
- 6 months: 1 solid meal
- 7 - 8 months: 2 meals
- 9 months: 3 meals
It describes a solid meal as two or three items at each meal or a whole stage 2 jar. Cereal portion siize is 2 - 4 tbsp.

Hi,
I have been debating this myself, my twins are 6 months also and we started solids at 4 months. My doctor says you can start two meals at six months and I am giving about 2 tablespoons of oatmeal in the morning with 1/2 jar of fruit, and rice cereal at night with 1/2 jar of veggies. I am wondering about portion size also-more just seems like too much, but my nephew who is 7 months eats cereal + stage 2 jars(the whole thing) and is on 3 meals a day! It's so hard to tell. We haven't had their 6 month checkups yet so I want to ask again!
