What are your NYE plans?

We weren't planning on doing anything but now we're going out to an early dinner (4pm) at Kobe Steakhouse.  I love Kobe!!!  I got a coupon in the mail for $20 off our next visit (for my birthday) and it expires on 12/31.  My parents are gonna watch DS for a couple hours while we go.  We should be home no later than 7pm (before all the crazies come out)    Then I plan to sit my butt on the couch and have a glass (or two) of champagne.  That is if I haven't gotten a BFP yet.  DH and I will be asleep by midnight for SURE!

For 10 years now we have done the same thing. We have people over I make a big pot of my Sunday gravy, and other various pasta dishes and we all hang out together. It's mostly our closest friends, family and all the kids. It's a good time.

The following morning we all get up and go cross country skiing.

No big plans. Hanging in with DH, having some wine and TTC baby #2! Haha

I normally host a little party with friends, but being pg this year, I'm just not up to anything big. So DH, DS, and I are sneaking away down to VA Beach to visit friends and have our own little party at their house. It'll be low key-just hanging out with the kids and eating lots of yummy food! It'll be nice and relaxing, so I am excited!

Our next door neighbors (and good friends) are getting married on New Year's Eve. They have 4 children and still are not married, so it's been a long time coming, lol! The wedding is at 5:30 PM with a following reception and I'm pretty sure we'll be at the reception for awhile. We are taking Tegan with us to the wedding and reception, I'm still not 100% sure if it's a great idea, but all of our potential babysitters are also going to the wedding, so we don't have much choice, lol!

One of my best friends lives just down the street from us so we are having a slumber party at her house.  Her DD is 2 years old and her niece and nephew (ages 2 and 4) are going to be there.  We are going to play games and probably order some very tasty, not healthy food.  When the kiddos go to bed we are going to bring out the cocktails.  I am sooo excited!

We always go to our friends house who have a lot of property and have a bon fire and make oysters on the grill..we always have oysters on Thanksgiving and New Year's (which may explain why I got pregnant around the holidays with DD#1 lol).  Its never anything big but DH and I are really low key and all the kids get to play together.

There's a big party at an old historic hotel here.  My mom volunteered to watch P so I will probably go out with friends.  I haven't been out for New Year's in a LONG time.

I'm hosting a fancy little cocktail party.

2 years ago on NYE I got my BFP, so that NY sucked, then last year I was breastfeeding so that one sucked too.  This year I'm getting drunk!!

Either going to the casino and fancy restaurant or the club we usually go to on NYE. Either way, I plan to get drunk since I was the DD last year (BFing).

We are going out for lunch with my sister and mom. Then we are having my good friend and her 2 boys over. We are having some good food, then counting down the new year at 8 pm for the kids lol! After DD is asleep and the guests are gone DH and I will have some wine and be asleep by 10 probably. We are hosting a brunch on New Years Day.

Our initial plan was to just hang out with the girls.  And after they went to bed, we were going to bbq up some ribs and have some drinks.  And then hopefully I would make it to see midnight.

BUT, now my parents may take the girls overnight and DH and I are going to his friends house to have some drinks and play some games.

Either option works for me.

We're going big this year - after DD goes to bed, we'll do take-out, movies and bed (probably before midnight).

I will be working until midnight then I will go home and go to bed. Sometimes it really stinks working at a restaurant.

We are having our friend's over with their daughter.  The woman is on modified bed rest so we are going to cook, hang out, and make it a low-key, early night since the kids won't make it until 12, and neither will I.

Since the NYE that I was pregnant, DH and I do the same thing. Marathon of new DVDs that we buy in the boxing week sales, beer for him, coolers for me, and a massive junk food buffet (Nachos, homemade pizza, egg rolls, baking, candy, etc). Oh, and in the boxing week sales I always get new lingerie, which I wear on NYE

A grueling night of Fondue, board games and a good movie with my husband and daughter. We are low key. Plus I live next to a bar so I'd rather stay home.
