Just wanted to say hello. My name is Mandi I am 29 years old and I just found out I am pregnent with my first baby. I am super excited but the father of the baby is not! I am really hoping that he turns around but if not I am on my own and can do this! I was married to my late husband and we ttc for a year before he passed away with no luck. Now I am PG and the father wants nothing to do with it. So I am guessing I will be part of the single Mommy club!
Congrats on your first baby! I had my first at 29 too and he's the best thing I've ever done for sure! Although I'm no longer a single parent (we recently got back together), I did it by myself basically for the first 5 months. I was scared and worried that I wouldn't be able to do it on my own but I did. You will be fine. Hopefully the dad will come around but, if not, just remember that he's the one missing out. Not you.

Hello and welcome. As far as the father, I wouldn't put a lot of energy into what he's doing and when or if he's going to come to the party. It seems like you have a good attitude about things. GL!

AGREED! Sounds like you have a great perspective of things. Hope everything works out! Stick around, I swear I learn something new from these ladies every week!
The father of my baby doesn't want much to do either! I figure it's almost easier this way since I decided he wasn't right for me then found out I was pregnant lol. I am 20 weeks & he still hasn't turned around so as far as I'm concerned he is outta the picture. Good luck & congrats! I'm excited for you!
I'm 41 and having my first baby, too. The father has been uncomfortable with this whole thing, but I love my baby and can't wait to be a mom, so I'm not worrying about the guy who knocked me up. I am thinking about me and my child.
There are some very helpful places here, but this group has been very kind and helpful. Just remember this is about your child and you'll be fine.
