My LO started teething at 6 weeks. We had it confirmed by the doctor. At that time we could see 2 little white bumps. The doctor said they may take as long as 3 months to completely cut through, but she will have pain/discomfort whenever they move until the break through. Now she has 4 white bumps on the bottom! Teething pain is so sad/horrible to deal with! So far Infant Tylenol has been most helpful, and a bit of baby orajel or teething tablets help while waiting for the Tylenol to help. Also, DH has put popsicles against her gums (I know she's young, but it seems to help, as her little mouth is too small for most refridgerated teethers still), and that has helped.
As a tip I have learned, when LO starts drooling a lot and wanting to chew on everything and is a bit fussy, intervene then with something like the homeopathic tablets/gel, and catching it before LO is screaming in pain seems to help avoid needing Tylenol as much.
