Reading to LO?

Does your LO sit still for you to read to them?

DD has always been great about sitting and reading with me. I could usually read her 3-4 books before she'd want to move on. Lately, though, she will let me read maybe a page before she gets mad and wants down.

Is this a normal phase? We used to read all the time but now reading time is few and far between because it frustrates me.

I think it's pretty normal for their age.  There is only one book Buggie will sit still for the entire read.  All the other books...not a chance.  I just make up a story to go w/ the picture walk.

Its probably just a phase.  DD loves to read too and sometimes gets squirmy and wants down, but usually just means she wants a different book.  So if I choose another one or let her choose she'll sit and read with me.

DS has only recently started getting interested in books for the reading/pictures.  Either he wouldn't sit still long enough to read a page or he'd try to eat them.

Normal at that age.  I just continued reading whether she sat with me or not.

DS loves books but he has the attention span of a gnat right now.  He picks one and brings it to me and on the second or third page, yells "all done!" and moves on.
