ohhhhhhhh i am sooo there with you!!! I want to scream everytime LOs throw thier sippy off the high chair tray or the food. It drives me mad. Problem is i will take the sippy away or food but then they are hungry and thirsty. I try a stirn no and get giggles!! grrrrrr!
I really hope this is just a phase! I will GLADLY take any advice!
DD did this and stopped within a few days. We kept telling her "No we don't throw food." If she did it a second time, mealtime was over and she had to help clean up her mess. I would wait ~30 minutes and then re-offer her a meal if she hadn't eaten enough.
Be consistent! If you want to stick with taking x away when she throws it then do that! With B we say all done and take him out when he throws. It hasn't sunk in yet, but here's to hoping it will soon!
Oh.. I hear you... same thing here... She picks up cheerios one by one and drops them on tthe floor... throws sippy... etc.. I realize now what a mistake it was to paint our dining area an offwhite color... The walls have so much food splattered on them!!! and yes.. when I say "no".. I get the giggle face, too.. she thinks it is funny.
