What to wear to homestudy meeting?

I know I'm a freak for worrying about this but I honestly don't know what to wear!  Casual?  Dress-up?  Somewhere in-between?

Re: What to wear to homestudy meeting?

  • I stressed about it, too.  I was business-casual, with a long skirt and conservative top.
  • I think I did dark dressy jeans and a cute top...probably somewear in-between is fine!

  • I was similar - just black pants and a top. The case worker was wearing similar to me.
  • We met ours at her home, the first meetin, so I went with dark blue jeans, heels and a cute top.  The second time around she came to our house and it was much more casual.  She even took her shoes off and tucked her feet under her on the couch.  :)  Just remember they are people too and really do want to see a child in your arms!
  • Our meetings were all in the summer.  The first was at her office so I wore dark jeans, sandles and a semi-dressy top.  The second was in our home and it was scorching hot that day so I was in a long jersey dress.  Somewhere in between is best, but because they want to get to know YOU and not only your wardrobe, I think that it's best to make sure that whatever you're wearing makes you feel confident and comfortable with yourself so that you can relax and share your true self.  HTH
  • Just like others have said, I was dressy/casual:)  I wore a cute skirt and casual top.  And don't worry, I think I changed a million times:)  Good luck!
