Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

When did/do you plan on introducing a pillow?

I have no idea what the "norm" is for introducing pillows to LO's.  What's your game plan?

  • I was just planning to do it whenever I switch him to a toddler bed.

  • We got DS a pillow pet at 14 months and he started to use it as a pillow right away. He still refuses to sleep with a blanket though!

  • I did already. He is 15 months, and it seems to help him better when he has a stuffy nose.
  • DD was about 13 months old, maybe a little sooner. She also sleeps with a blanket
  • DS got one a few weeks ago when he moved to his new room.  He liked to snuggle with the pillows in our bed. So I just got him a really flat one -the $0.99 one for tummy sleepers from Ikea. He LOVES it.

  • I guess when he goes to a toddler bed which I don't see happening for another year (3 yrs old). It's not like he's asking for one or missing anything not having one.
  • We did about a month ago, so at 21 months.  We weren't going to until 2, but then ds starting sitting/laying on our bed and loving the pillows.  We ended up buying him a memory foam one because I was worried others were too fluffy.  He gets excited by it, but barely uses it at all.  To sum it up, he has the most expensive pillow in the house, it takes up most of his crib, and his forehead barely touches it.
