i was surprised by how easy it was. i was scared to death waiting in pre op and then when they brought me into the or and strapped my legs down that freaked me out. but they gave me some meds to relax me and when i opened my eyes back up i was in recovery. it was painless at least the actual procedure. i've had no bleeding and very light cramping. although yesterday i did try to cook dinner and started hurting so i laid back down. i didn't go to work today because the dr told dh he wouldn't go back today if it were him. so i have the whole weekend to recover physically. emotionally i feel fine for the most part. i know it was just a sac and there wasn't a fetus but i have a hard time seeing newborns and pg women or hearing anything on tv about being pg. now we just have to wait until our 2 wk follow up and find out the pathology reports. that will determine when we get to ttc again. there's a small chance we may have to wait a year. i'm praying we don't.

I had a d&c Dec 13, and I was also very surprised at how simple it was (after they put me out). The only painful part was the anesthesia going through my IV in my hand, that burned and actually brought me to tears. I was VERY emotional the morning it was all happening, and still get sad feelings when I hear about our friends who are pregnant and are due at the same time we were supposed to be. But we're allowed to be sad whenever we feel the need to be.
I had my d&c on a Monday morning and didn't work until Thursday. I haven't been to see my doctor yet (our appointment is on Jan 7), but I'm hoping he says we can TTC sooner than later. I hope that the doctor has good news for you!
