I really like my Mazda5. We'll probably need something bigger later (when we're dragging band equipment and soccer uniforms and art supplies and whatever, or carpooling with multiple kids). But for now, with 2 kids? Perfect.
It doesn't look like a minivan (much smaller, with better gas mileage than traditional minivans), but the sliding doors still make life easy. The back is still great for parking lot diaper changes (in the summer, anyway).
It's also less expensive than other minivans or crossovers or SUVs. We got a year-old one for $17k, I think.
It's not a perfect car, and if I were made of money, I'd have something different. But I still think it's pretty much exactly what we need right now.
We have a 2005 Ford Escape and a 2000 Lexus RX300. Both are good sized but I like the Escape WAY better. We only have 1 LO, but it won't be a problem fitting 2 carseats in the Escape. It most likely will be with the Lexus. It's a crossover, but kind of cramped in the back.

We also have a Mazda 5.....it's funny to see so many with them in this post as NO one has one it seems. But I love it. It's great for 2-3 little ones....the back row is small but we've but DD in her seat back there and then had two others in the middle row.
I love that it has 3 rows, sliding doors, and a flat area in back (when the back row is down) for changes, etc. It's not perfect, but it is good for now and CHEAP.
I love my Ford Flex Limited EcoBoost! It's got everything, it's peppy, very comfortable and roomy. We also have a labrador retriever so she will fit all the way in the back with room to spare even when LO #2 comes along!
You can make almost any car work. I drive a beetle, which is tight with carseats and stroller but drives beautifully thanks to a nice powerful engine lol! We borrowed MILs 4 door honda civic for a 10 day road trip this summer and had room left over even with all our luggage and double stroller. It didn't drive as nicely as my beetle, but the extra space was really nice on such a long trip. We could easily have fit a third radian seat in that car as well and are considering one for when we need a second car (right now we're a 1-car family).
We love our Kia Rondo! I think it's a good size for a family of four--better gas mileage and maneuverability than the bigger vehicles, but roomy enough for the double stroller and whatever else we need (and two big car seats ).
Just sold my Lexus RX and got the 2010 Toyota Sienna minivan and LOVE IT!! I was so upset to get rid of the Lexus, and even being a (small) SUV, the minivan is def. the way to go with 2 kids (esp 2u2)

I love my Toyota Highlander! I like that it is low to the ground and I don't have to climb into it.
I have an 08 Saturn Outlook which is comparible to a Chevy Traverse or a GMC Acadia. Love it!!
