My mom bought my brother and I each one of these Open It tools from an As Seen On TV store a few years ago.  It is awesome--- especially for all those twist ties, plastic wrap, etc. on new toys.

That's great!  It was sort of stressful trying to get the new toys open and P was so excited because he wanted to play with them.  He was getting SO impatient!

If you have not already thought about how to make future present-opening experiences less stressful, here is a tip that worked for us - open all of the gifts and wrap them so they are ready to go upon unwrapping.  We even left a couple of them "on" so DS could hear them make noise while he was unwrapping - that got him tearing into the paper really well!

Yeah. We did Xmas with the utility knife right next to us. I was all panicky that DH would cut himself or one of the kids (though he was very aware of them and kept aiming the knife away from them, even though they were far away).
