This is when being a single Mom sucks

Or at least it is one of the times that being a single Mom sucks. We are getting hit with a snow storm right now and are expected to get around 12 inches. There is no one around to shovel except for me. Plus, I have 2 little old ladies who live on either side of me, so if I don't go out and do it for them, no one will. Sigh. The ONE night my oldest DS wanted to sleep at his Dad's. Figures.

    I feel you. We're getting snow too. where do you live? I'm in MD. I'm dreading having to go out tomorrow morning and shovel and salt on my own.

    I'm in PA right outside of Philly. We are supposed to get like 12inches. Thank goodness I already took a vacation day tomorrow, because I am going to be too exhausted from shoveling to bother to dig out my car.

    We got 18 inches last night and DD and I went out and shoveled for about two hours. As much as I hate shoveling, it was actually entertaining doing it while Aria was chilling in the front pack.

    This! I shoveled a few weeks ago and was sweating up a storm. It was disgusting, but it felt good to get a nice work-out in doing something that needed to be done anyway.

    When will your oldest DS be home? Could he do the old ladies' houses when he gets home?

    I feel you on this one! I am in WI and we have been hit hard already about 6 times in the last three weeks!! I have a really long driveway, and the jerk next door seems to think he should snow blow everything from his driveway over onto mine! I was having to do it in little bits because K takes really short naps and I would be able to hear him outisde!! Dang Mother Nature!!

    GL and as PP said, it's a great workout. Those days I had to go out there I took a break from the julianne michaels dvds! :)

    I'm in Maryland too, and after the snow we had last year, I'm nervous of anything like that repeating this year.  If anything happens like that again, I'm hoping a neighbor will take pity on me...*fingers crossed*
