Projectile vomit..waiting for pedi to call back

Miss Piper just launched vomit about a foot in the air while she was lying on her back, it was about a 7"x7" pile of bright yellow/green vomit. We were in the pedi's office on Wednesday for white curdling vomit and they said if it turned green or red to call. So I just talked to the nurse who said "Oh my, I'll have the doctor call you right away" Anyone have any thoughts? I'm kinda freaking out... and with all this snow it would take forever to get to the ER if we needed to go in.

this is my daughter 6-10 times a day.  more than likely it was just spit up, not actual throw up. 

 Even though it is green, it could just be from some nasal dripping down her throat into her stomach she spit up, and causing a sour stomach.  

I used to worry when my daughter did this and now it is so common all day.  her spit up can be clear- pure stomach acid, yellow, white, greenish which is all formula related.  I would be concerned if it was tinted red, otherwise it is probably OK.

Thanks. They just called back, he said that unless the distance gets longer or the color turns more avocado we're okay. If it's avocado colored then it could be a bowel blockage and it's an ER trip. Here's to hoping she's done for the night, and it was just a little reflux.
