Trevor got just SO much stuff that there is no way we can open everything now. Everything is unwrapped, but I think we are going to open & play with only one or 2 things a week. Which means Christmas should last us until Easter! If not longer

Yes I putting some stuff away and will take out in a couple of months. Our issue is DS' bday is in March. So we get to do this all over again in a few months.
Yep. DD got a lot of stuff, but some of it will live in the playroom (which we actually don't play in very often) and I will rotate it with the living-room toys every few weeks or so.
I think I'm going to put it all out, but rotate where I put them. He always plays with whatever is in the bottom two rows of bins in his room and what's in the living room. I'll just rotate which toys are in those "high traffic" play areas.
We are leaving stuff with both grandma's and rotating stuff out at home. She got tons of toys but her birthday was the 22nd, so I want to make sure she doesn't get board of stuff because it is going to be another year before Christmas and her birthday.
We also did that for her birthday this summer. We brought out a new toy every few weeks and took something "old" into the basement. Once we ran out of new stuff we just rotated through the old stuff. I think it worked out really well!
I am staggering toys between rooms and locations. We spend most of our time downstairs so I have a few down here, some in her room, and others I left at my Dads where she goes overnight on night a week.
